After Easter break: CFMOTO duo ready for wild ride on Texan soil

Round three of this year’s MotoGP™ season takes us to the USA, which has a long-standing racing tradition. Since 2013, the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas has been held at the Circuit of the Americas, the American dream in track form: specially designed and built for the most important events in racing – including Formula 1 and, more importantly for us, MotoGP™ – the #AmericasGP promises to be a party for all racing enthusiasts.

With a diverse supporting programme, Texas offers just about everything it has to offer, making the “Texan way of live” a little more tangible for visitors to the Grand Prix.

Located near the wonderful city of Austin, the Circuit of the Americas with its total length of 5.515 km is the second longest track on the current racing calendar after Silverstone. In a single lap, a total of 20 turns (11 to the left and 9 to the right) have to be mastered, and the very hilly terrain with an altitude difference of 40 m does its bit to make the circuit a riding challenge.

Also in this race, #92 David Almansa will take his place on the CFMOTO for the injured #66 Joel Kelso after a strong performance in the last race in Argentina. His temporary teammate #43 Xavi Artigas is also looking forward to the #AmericasGP, where he finished third in qualifying last season and then took a great sixth place on race Sunday!

#43 Xavier Artigas

“I have very good memories of the COTA. Last year we started the race from the first row of the grid. In the end, I was close to the Top5 and I am striving to reach it this year.”

#92 David Almansa

“In the last race in Argentina we did a great job and were able to work our way up from 25th place to the positions of podium. Unfortunately, the result of the Grand Prix was very unfortunate, but the feeling towards the CFMOTO was really good. This weekend we will be looking to get the best possible achievement in Austin from the first second.”
