Despite the onset of winter, more than 300 fans of the domestic Moto3™ racing team CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP ventured out the door and to the Sachsenring last Sunday, where the team presentation open to the public could finally take place again after two years of enforced break.
Presenter Lukas Gajewski, who has already commented on racing series such as the MotoGP™ and the IDM on DAZN, got the more than full hall at the PruestelGP headquarter fired up. After the rider pairing for the 2023 season was introduced with the Spaniard #43 Xavier Artigas and the Australian #66 Joel Kelso, it was first up to team manager Florian Prüstel to give the audience a review of the past season and, more importantly of course, an outlook on the objectives for the coming season. A special highlight was the appearance of the two riders, who presented this year’s racing bikes to the public, thus finally revealing a well-kept secret of the CFMOTO factory team. As a surprise, the CFMOTO factory riders carefully threw over 60 team caps into the group of fans.
Delicious burgers and regional specialities from the grill made the icy temperatures feel good in the stomach. The showroom was also open to visitors, where they could buy exclusive team merchandise and dress up in style for the 2023 season. As a supporting programme for the event, street bikes from the main sponsor CFMOTO were also shown. For fans of the off-road scene, there was a nice labeled SuperEnduro bike and the youngest among the racing scene could find out about the local promotion of young talent at the AMC Sachsenring stand and test ride pocket and mini bikes.
PRÜSTEL Logistics also presented itself to the public as a local and multi-faceted employer with a small line-up of trucks and a stand.
The end of the event was also special: all visitors were allowed to go out onto the Sachsenring track with the racing team in a guided lap and take pictures with the freshly unveiled Moto3™ bikes. Afterwards, they went through the well-known Parc Fermé onto the CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP podium, which was specially branded in the corporate design. This gave an insight of what it’s like to be a real MotoGP™ winner. Artigas and Kelso took a lot of time for their fans so that everyone could really go home with an autograph or a picture together.
The conclusion: the racing team was overwhelmed by the great response of the local fans, who were very happy about the event and the opportunity to experience the CFMOTO guys so closely. The Saxon racing team will definitely do everything in its power to ensure that the sporting results also match this great start to the season and that the team presentation can take place again in public for everyone under the same conditions in the following year.
