Countdown to the first race of the 2022 season in the spectacular desert setting of Qatar

Only a few days separate riders #43 Xavier Artigas and #99 Carlos Tatay from their first race under the CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP flag. Like last year, the calendar starts in Doha, Qatar, at the Losail International Circuit, where races traditionally start late due to the high temperatures during the day. Based on the edge of the desert and around 20 km from the capital Doha, the facility is best known for the spectacular night races in the MotoGP™ and the floodlights erected around the entire circuit for this purpose. A very special and exciting atmosphere for the two Spaniards, for whom it will be a matter of everything on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3 p.m. local time (1 p.m. German time).

After the intensive testing in Valencia, Jerez and Portimao and the hard training sessions that took place in the run-up to the race, the team is eager to see how the two CFMOTO riders will perform in their racing debut this season, whether they will be able to hold their nerve and show what they are capable of on their bikes as early as race 1.

#99 Carlos Tatay

“I’m very happy and motivated to finally get involved in the real racing action with my team. I can’t wait for the first free practice session on Friday and I’m going to continue working in the same way as we did in the pre-season so that I’m well prepared on Sunday. Let’s enjoy the first Grand Prix of 2022!”

#43 Xavier Artigas

“I am very excited to start the first Grand Prix this year. We’ll see how we develop over the weekend, but I can already say that both the team and I are ready to give it our all.”
