In a weekend of constant improvement, Dirk was able to catch his first points in Moto3 FIM CEV
Dirk Geiger, rider of Cuna de Campeones PrüstelGP went on track for the second-to-last round of Moto3 FIM CEV in Aragon. The German rider had to face three races scheduled in only three days.
Full motivated after the great experience of the IDM Superstock 300, Dirk Geiger switched back to his KTM Moto3 for the Aragon Round. After two days of free practice on dry on Wednesday and Thursday, qualifying sessions took place on wet track on Friday. Dirk classified 25th for the races of the following days.
In the first race, scheduled on Saturday 3rd October at 13:00, Dirk couldn´t keep the contact with the group fighting for the points and ended 21st.
Sunday was again race day, with two races planned at 11:00 and 14:00. In the morning race, Dirk repeated his best result of Portimao, ending 18th on the finish line. The second race of the day was finally the reward that Dirk and his team were waiting for a long time. After fighting the whole race in the top-15, he was able to finish 14th and getting his well-deserved first points in Moto3 Junior World Championship.
Now the last round of the season awaits Dirk and Cuna de Campeones PrüstelGP at the end of October in Valencia, for another weekend with three races!

Dirk Geiger #60
The weekend was not bad. The start was not the best but we work really hard and try to go step by step to the front. The Qualifyings was in the rain. There I didn´t have a very good feeling and also the position was really bad. In the first race on Saturday I lost the group in front of me, they were fighting for the points. In Race 2 I tried again and the race was better but again not enough for points. For the last race, the second of Sunday we made a step forward with the set up and I made a big step also in the race. The gap with the front was shorter than in all the other sessions. And that was really positive! I was fighting for 12th place and in the end was it 14th place, so I finally got my first points of the year. Big thanks to the team for the hard work. We made again a step forward and we will continue working hard for the last round of the season!

After a total of 12 sessions with 3 races, Dirk has improved a lot here in Aragon. After a training time of 2.00.9 in FP5 we were optimistic for the qualifying. However, cold and rain put an obstacle on our plans. After 21st place in the first race we analysed everything. In the last few laps Dirk drove times around position 7-9, after which some changes were made to the bike, which he confirmed with an increasing performance, with positions 18th and 14th. In general Dirk was able to shorten the gap to the top at the end of the race from 25 seconds to 18 seconds, which confirms the performance once again. His fastest lap of the weekend was finally in the 3rd race a 2.00.777 . Now we are looking forward to the next race in Valencia where we want to make further steps forward.
