The German rider can finally make his debut at the Estoril racetrack with the new Cuna de Campeones PrüstelGP
The circuit of Estoril (Portugal) is the theater of the first test and the inaugural race of the 2020 Moto3 FIM CEV season. As the only German rider on the category, Dirk Geiger is finally back on track after a break due to Covid19 outbreak.
After competing in the first Moto3 World Championship race in Qatar, Dirk starts now a new adventure with the Cuna de Campeones PrüstelGP team, a German- Spanish collaboration. His first contact with the KTM took place on Thursday 2nd of July at the Circuito do Estoril. The race track, which measures 4.182 m and counts 13 corners, will be also the scenery of the first seasonal race, scheduled on Tuesday 7th July.
After the first day of test, the feeling is already positive. Dirk did his first laps with the Moto3 KTM and had immediately positive sensations. The whole day was focused on improving the feeling, testing with both used and new tires. For Dirk it was the first chance to get familiar with bike and team before free practice days scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.
You can follow the race on Tuesday 7th at 13 (German time) through the FIM CEV You Tube channel at this link: https://www.youtube.com/user/CEVMotorcycleChamp

#60 Dirk Geiger
“It was a really positive first day! The feeling was good already at the first exit, I was impressed about it! We have been working hard already starting from the first session, with the goal of improving the feeling and to be faster. Just before the lunch break we tried to go out with new tyres, but we couldn´t improve too much. We kept working hard in the afternoon, keeping the same lap times as in the morning, which is really positive as the tyres had already almost 45 laps. I am really satisfied with the work of this first day! I want to thank both teams PrüstelGP and Cuna de Campeones for this opportunity. Now I can´t wait to start the race weekend, I am sure we can do well!“
