Grey Sunday for Carxpert PrüstelGP in Valencia

Barry Baltus finished 17th and Jason Dupasquier 22nd at the Gran Prix de la Comunitat Valenciana

The Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana, second round in a row on the Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia (Spain), didn´t give to Carxpert PrüstelGP the expected and deserved reward.

The weekend started in completely different weather conditions than last week, as the two free practice sessions  took place on dry track. Both riders improved their best lap time of the previous weekend already on the first exit.

Saturday´s FP3 was shorter than usual, due to the rain who started to fall unexpectedly in the morning. But it was in the qualifying session that the story was repeated. As it happened last weekend, it started to rain lightly shortly before the start of Q1. The rider went back on their bikes in a nor dry nor wet race track. The tricky conditions made the qualifying even more challenging. Despite improving themselves lap by lap, Jason Dupasquier couldn´t go beyond a 23rd place (with a small crash) and Barry Baltus a 24th place.

Unfortunately, nor Barry Baltus nor Jason Dupasquier concretize the hard work of the weekend. Barry Baltus started very well, recovering  a couple of position already in the first lap and finished the race in 17th place. Jason Dupasquier struggled a bit during the whole race and finished the race in 22nd place.

Carxpert PrüstelGP will be soon on the way to Portugal, ready for the new challenge on a completely unknown track. It will be Barry´s last race with the team and the goal is, to finish this difficult season in the best way possible!

Barry Baltus #70, P17

It was much better than last weekend!  We were faster, found a better set up and I felt good. But this morning in the warm up I was struggling a lot and I had a crash. I started very well, recovered 6 positions only in the first lap. The bike was fine, the pace also and I am not far from my first points but also this time it was not enough. We did a big step forward: I am a bit disappointed as we couldn´t achieve the points. We need to keep working, never give up!!

Jason Dupasquier #50, P22

I am confident, I believe in my team.. I know the crew chief and the mechanics can help me to find the perfect set-up. I know I need to improve further, this is the goal of next race and next year. I want to improve myself mentally, stop thinking and enjoy.

Tim Jüstel, Team Coordinator

A different and complicated weekend is behind us. Unfortunately not with the desired result. After Barry had a very good start and was able to make up 6 places in the first lap, he was unfortunately pushed off the track by another rider and lost some positions again. It is a great pity. Now we have only one last chance to get the season championship points. This must work next weekend in Portimao. I don’t want us to end this season without points.
