#NextLevelRacing – CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP unveils new bike design for 2023 for the first time

Yesterday evening, the official presentation of the new bike design took place in front of the partners of the Saxon racing team in the start-finish tower of the traditional Sachsenring. Moderated by Lukas Gajewski, who has already presented the MotoGP™ and the IDM on DAZN, the objectives for the coming season were also discussed and the Spanish-Australian rider pairing was introduced live.

Besides the riders, the Spaniard #43 Xavier “Xavi” Artigas(19) and his new team mate, the Australian #66 Joel Kelso (19), the cooperation with CFMOTO was also discussed in a conversation with team manager Florian Prüstel.

After getting to know each other in the debut year of 2022, exchanging knowledge and skills and working together more closely and intensively throughout the season, the Chinese ATV and motocycle manufacturer’s team is set to take its sporting performance to the next level in the coming season. Last year’s team design has been further developed and looks even more dynamic and sporty in 2023.

The invited guests were also treated to a tour of Race Control, which is the heart of race management. In a lecture, they were thus given a unique insight behind the scenes of the Sachsenring, which usually remains hidden from most friends of this sport. After a short walk through the pit lane, the guests were able to marvel at the new layout of the race truck and finally ended up in a double box full of CFMOTO street bikes. The highlight here: the prototype of a CFMOTO MT800 SPORT R, a further development of the popular MT800 touring enduro – based on the Moto3-™ design of the race team.

The dense snowfall and the great colour backdrop of the Sachsenring Tower made for a spectacular and venerable presentation area for the CFMOTO factory team.

The exclusive event documented the official start of this year’s racing season. And it continues in quick succession, because today the team is thrilling its fans and friends at the public team presentation at the headquarters of CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP.

#43 Xavier Artigas

“First we need to arrive to the tests, see how we can perform there before we start in the actual season. I’m feeling confident on the CFMOTO bike, within the team we know each other well and have been able to spot the points on which we can work to further improve our performance. I am really looking forward to the season in front of us. So lets get it, 2023 is on!”

#66 Joel Kelso

“Our aim is to get the most out of the teams potential as well as the potential of me as a rider. For me personally it was the best decision coming to this team and I am really confident that we will be able to make a good start into the season. In Moto3 the starting field is very tight, I hope we get the maximum in terms of results.”

Florian Prüstel I Team Manager

“For the coming season we want to improve from a sportive point of view. It’s Xavis third year in this class and we aim to be in the Top5. With Joel, who has been in his rookie year last season, for the coming season I hope that we soon get constant results and hopefully get it to the points.”

SuZhen I Racing Development Manager of CFMOTO

“Last year was our premiere in the Moto3 World Championship. It was a great pleasure to work with the riders and the team because the competition in the MotoGP is really intense. This year we continue with the experience we have gained and work hard on our sporting performance. The bikes and the riders undoubtedly have the skills for top finishes. Persistence is a good quality of many Chinese predecessors, and we intend to keep it that way.”
