The HomeGP of Carxpert PrüstelGP took place this weekend at Sachsenring. With empty grandstands as no public was allowed to enter at the track, the German GP didn´t feel as the usual party it is. It was a race weekend characterized by very hot temperature and sunny weather. Ryusei Yamanaka struggled to find the lap time on Friday practice. Also Saturday was difficult day for the team, as the qualifying didn´t go as expected and Ryusei couldn´t pass to Q2. Ryusei Yamanaka #6
We started from 21st place, the start was not the best but then I started to recover many positions. I had a good pace and I could catch the top group in the middle of the race. Unfortunately I crashed in turn 1. It´s a shame because I could have done very well and finish the race in a good position. I will learn from this mistake, it will be useful experience for the future. It was not our best weekend but I did a step forward in the race. I feel already confident for Assen. See you next weekend!

Florian Prüstel, Team Manager
It was a difficult home GP for us. On Friday we took part in the ceremony for the retirement of Jason´s number 50. Unfortunately Ryusei struggled the whole weekend, he was not able to pass to Q2. He´s very strong in race and he recovered many positions, so start more ahead would have helped us a lot. He did a great race until the crash, but he was able to finish it. We are looking forward to Assen, the goal is to do better in qualifying in order to have it easier in the race. We want to thanks everybody for the support, our sponsors, the steward of the race track and all the fans. A big thanks goes especially to the team for their hard work throughout this difficult time.
