There are still 3 races to go in this year’s Motorcycle World Championship – which means there are not too many chances left for each of the Moto3™ teams to collect important World Championship points. So there is no reason for the CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP riders to slacken in their efforts and so, in the next few days, the team will be setting the course to ensure that both riders can finish as far ahead as possible and get into the points after the last and turbulent race weekend in Thailand.
Phillip Island, an island in the state of Victoria located about 120 km southeast of Melbourne, has given itself the title of “home of Australian motorsports”. And not without justification, as the circuit is not only beautifully situated directly on the coast of Bass Strait, but also looks back on a long history as a venue for two- and four-wheeled racing action with its origins in the early 1930s.
With its smooth layout, the track is high speed – even though the longest straight is just 900 meters long. And as it is in the motorsport world: linear with the speed also the popularity among the Moto3™ riders rises. So, also the CFMOTO riders #43 Xavi Artigas and #99 Carlos Tatay are looking forward to a spectacular race. The aim is to get the maximum out of the 4.4 km total length of the track, which includes 7 left-hand and 5 right-hand bends.

#43 Xavier Artigas
“It’s my first time here in Australia – I’ve really liked what I’ve seen so far. My first lap walk on the track is today, but from the pictures on TV you can already estimate how fast the track is. We’ll continue to work hard to achieve the goals we’ve set ourselves for the race and place well in qualifying straight away so that we’ll then have a good basis for fighting for the front places in the race.”

#99 Carlos Tatay
“It’s great to be in Australia. Like for Xavi, it’s my first race here and what I’ve seen so far really whets my appetite for high speed. The points gap between me and the next highest positioning is small – that motivates me even more to get everything out of myself here.”
