Jeréz de la Frontera was the second stop for CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP after Valencia from Tuesday 8th February to Wednesday 9th February 2022 as part of the preparations for this season’s beginning. At times the weather conditions were not ideal. Although sunny temperatures of around 20 degrees prevailed, there were strong gusty winds, especially on the first of the two driving days, which all the riders had to adjust to on the track.
For the riders of the team, #43 Xavier Artigas as well as #99 Carlos Tatay, all in all it have been very successful days on their new, powerful bikes of the Chinese ATV manufacturer CFMOTO. Now that they have both settled in well with the team, the main focus of the tests was to gain further riding experience under racing conditions.
Xavi was able to improve significantly over the days and delivered stable performances. For him, the main focus was to optimize the driving experience on the new bike before he went on to tackle on the continoius improvment of his lap times. He achieved his fastest lap time of 1:47.162 on the second day of testing.
Carlos Tatay was able to follow up on his already very good test times from Valencia. With 1:39.087 he set the best time on the track there and also played in Jeréz among the overall top 3 lap times with 1:45.992.
The tests have created a good basis for the upcoming season, which the team around Florian Prüstel will of course continue to build on. The next task will definitely be to make the best possible use of the official IRTA test runs in Portugal and then, when it comes down to it, to start the season in Qatar with this momentum of motivation.

#99 Carlos Tatay
“Everything went as I had hoped, I already had a good start to the tests last week. We did a lot of laps and were able to build up a really good feeling for the new CFMOTO bike. The best time in Valencia motivates me a lot and I am happy that I could continue the good results in Jeréz. The team is doing a great job, I’m very grateful for that.”

#43 Xavier Artigas
“During the various test runs, my initial excitement has definitely given way. We put a lot of kilometres on the track and tested a lot. I’m getting used to the bike in leaps and bounds and I feel more and more confident. Thanks to my team of CFMOTO, see you in Portimao!”

Tom Lüthi I Sporting director
“Of course, the good results encourage the both, which is great and more than a solid basis for everything that is still to come for us as a team. The results promise a lot, we are on a good path.”

Massimo Capanna I Technical director
“We can definitely be happy with the results. The guys are doing a good job and it’s fun to work with them. We are getting the speed in our performance and improving with each outing. We are ready to compete with the others in the first race.”
