After a well-deserved break, the motorcycle world championship circus is rumbling and nothing less than the heart of British motorsport – the Silverstone circuit, located around 2 hours behind London – will be the place to be this weekend as the best of the best reunite to duly step up a gear for the second half of the MotoGP™ season.
High-speed loving, invigorated by the adrenaline of the drivers as well as the endorphins – the name Silverstone has been inextricably linked with the passion of motorsport for more than 60 years. The circuit, which is one of the world’s most prestigious for both two- and four-wheelers, was last extensively refurbished in 2010 and since then boasts even more world-class quality than before.
Significantly wider than the majority of the other venues, this means that an exciting race is guaranteed, especially for the Moto3™, as there are numerous favorable places to get to the front by overtaking maneuvers. Other hard facts: 5.9 km in length, 8 left-hand and 10 right-hand corners and the highest average speed at the apex of the corner in the entire calendar – not much more needs to be said, is there?
After the pilots of CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP initially took a little time off from the stressful everyday racing life, the longing for gasoline has grown and so it was not an overcoming for #99 Carlos Tatay and #43 Xavier Artigas to go back into training in the last weeks and prepare well for season half two. The entire team is excited to see if they have been able to make good use of their time and what the duel-friendly track in the heart of England will have to offer them.

#99 Carlos Tatay
“After 5 weeks of resting and holidays, it’s time to get back into racing. I’m looking forward to seeing my team again, getting back into the racing routine together and creating a good base for the restart into the second half of the season. I’m fully recovered and looking forward to giving my all again – and Silverstone will be just the start of that.”

#43 Xavier Artigas
“Finally, another race weekend! And then at Silverstone. I already felt comfortable here last year, it’s a very fast track, just the right start after I achieved a promising result in Assen. I want to take the good feeling from that into the second half of the season. I trained hard during the summer break to get into the restart in the best possible way.”
